The Genesis Project provides a single point of contact for referral to a network of housing, employment and treatment services for people returning to Burke County from State prisons or local jails. Returning home from prison and regaining stable housing and employment can be a serious challenge. The Genesis Project case manager provides assistance with needs and skills identification, linkage to area resources, and advocacy for the needs of returning offenders. The project also provides a pilot model and technical assistance for replication in other counties.
